Joker Xue (薛之谦) Announces Australia & New Zealand Dates As Part of Extraterrestrial World Tour

MELBOURNE, AU (NOV 22, 2023) – Chinese singer-songwriter, producer and Mandopop icon Joker Xue (薛之谦) will bring his Extraterrestrial World Tour to Australia & New Zealand in March 2024.

The intergalactic spectacle will descend upon Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday March 23, before travelling to Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday March 26 and concluding at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Saturday March 30.

Tickets for all shows go on sale on Wednesday 29th November at 2pm (local time).

Joker Xue, a renowned pop singer, music producer, and actor hailing from the Chinese mainland.

In 2005, he officially debuted after participating in the talent show "My Show". In 2006, he released his first self-titled album "Joker Xue" and gained widespread attention with the song "Serious Snow". In 2007, his album "How Are You?" earned him the annual MusicRadio China TOP Chart Most Popular Male Singer (Mainland China) Award. In 2008, he released the album "Loved You Deeply" and held his first solo concert "Qian Nian Chuan Shuo" in Shanghai. In 2013, the album "Several Of……" was recommended on the MusicRadio China TOP Chart, and in the same year, he released the album "An Unexpected Journey". In 2014, he won the Best Singer-Songwriter Award at the 21st ERC Chinese Top Ten Music Awards, and the same year, he also received the Annual Best Songwriter Award at the V Chart Awards.

In June 2015, Joker Xue took on the role of a producer for the first time and released the original EP "Gentleman". In the same year, he also starred in the urban inspirational drama "Mother Like Flowers". In 2016, with the EPs "Gentleman" and "Half", he won the Most Popular Male Singer, Top Five Most Popular Male Singers, Outstanding Singer in Shanghai, and Most Popular Creative Singer awards at the 16th Global Chinese Music Chart. The song "Beginner" also received the Annual Top Twenty Golden Song Award. In April 2017, he started the nationwide tour "I Think I’ve Seen You Somewhere", and that year, Joker Xue won the Best Male Singer at the 7th Global Pop Music Annual Awards and the MusicRadio China TOP Chart Best Male Singer in Mainland China. In July 2018, his "Skyscraper World Tour" kicked off in Beijing, spanning 4 continents, 8 countries, and 21 cities, with a total of 23 performances. In 2019, he released the album "Dust". In 2020, he released the personal album "Extraterrestrial". In 2022, he released the personal music album "Countless".

The "Extraterrestrial World Tour" started in 2021 and has successfully held over 60 shows to date, with more ongoing. The theme of the concert "Extraterrestrial" is not only a hit song by Joker Xue, but also a key element that connects the core storyline of the concert. During the concert, Joker Xue will transform into an interstellar executive who descends from an alien planet and is ordered to destroy the earth. On the eve of the destruction of the earth, he is inspired by the beauty of mankind and gives up his identity as extraterrestrial to become human.
