GUY MONTGOMERY Guy Mont-Spelling Bee Announced For One Night Only!

MELBOURNE, AU (28 November 2024, 9am AEDT) - Now a smash TV show on the ABC, award-winning Kiwi comedian, podcaster and improviser Guy Montgomery is bringing his 'Guy Mont-Spelling Bee' back to its roots with a live show at the Palais Theatre on Monday April 7 as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

After three consecutive years of sell out shows the Guy Mont-Spelling Bee returns to MICF, where Montgomery will be joined by some of the biggest names of the festival, to put them through their spelling paces with a variety of straightforward and frustratingly complex rounds. The show is designed to be infuriating to take part in and entertaining to watch.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday 29 November at 12pm local time.

The Guy Mont-Spelling Bee is part of Montgomery's recently announced 'I've Noticed So Many Things, It'd Be Unfair To Keep Them To Myself' national tour that includes dates at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Canberra Comedy Festival, the iconic Atheneum Theatre in Melbourne, the Perth Comedy Festival, and the Sydney Comedy Festival, before shows in Brisbane, Newcastle, Wollongong, the Gold Coast and Geelong.

Montgomery is well known to Australian audiences through TV shows like Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont-Spelling Bee, Have You Been Paying Attention, and Thank God You're Here.

The shows follow Montgomery's sold out 2024 tour 'Over 50,000,000 Guy Fans Can't Be Wrong' that saw him perform in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. In addition this year, Montgomery's growing popularity in Australia led to him hosting the Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
