DJ Duo Mind Against Announce Exclusive Headline Show in Sydney This Month

MELBOURNE, AU (November 7, 2024) – Drawing from their combined roots of IDM, house and techno, Mind Against are the Italian-born, Lisbon-based duo of Alessandro and Federico Fognini. For one night only, Mind Against will take over Plaza in Sydney for an exclusive headline show.

Expressing their sound through a melodic, psychedelic palette, Mind Against have released on their own multi-disciplinary imprint, HABITAT, and labels including Afterlife and Hotflush. Launched in 2023, HABITAT pushes the boundaries between music, art and technology and reflects the innovative vision of the Milanese brothers. With a futuristic outlook and relentlesswork ethic, whether producing, DJing or curating their own shows, Mind Against evokesemotionally rich sounds destined for the club.

Mind Against will return to Sydney for their exclusive headline show at Plaza in Sydney.

Drawing from their combined roots of IDM, house and techno, Mind Against are the Italian-born, Lisbon-based duo of Alessandro and Federico Fognini.

Expressing their sound through an emotionally rich palette, Mind Against have released on their platform, HABITAT, and labels including Afterlife and Hotflush.

In 2023, the pair launched their label, art platform, A/V show and event series, HABITAT. It's a project that explores the transformative and powerful possibilities in audio and visual outputs, democratising access to art, transcending boundaries and uniting different audiences.

Spring 2024 marks Mind Against's debut HABITAT event in London's Roundhouse, signifying their most seminal show yet. Amplified by a DJ set built with storied selections and intricate mixing, it's just one of the milestones Mind Against have recently garnered, in addition to celebrated tracks like "Dreamcast" and "Walking Away" on Afterlife Records. Remixes for Röyskopp, Adriatique, and Moby feature in their discography, and next up, Mind Against will deliver a remix for the experimental pop trio WhoMadeWho.

Channeling a deep, immersive take on house and techno through melodious synths, raw percussion, pulsing basslines and robust drums, Mind Against have penned a signature sound that strikes a poignant peak in the club. Dipping into the psychedelic hooks of the 80s to more modern sound design, the pair balance tenacious and agile textures with panache.
