Chris Parker announces second Auckland and Christchurch date for his 'Lots of Love' New Zealand 2023 tour

AUCKLAND, NZ (Tuesday, April 4th, 2023) – Due to popular demand, Multi-award-winning comedian CHRIS PARKER has announced a second Auckland and Christchurch date for his brand new show LOTS OF LOVE. These will take place on the 11th June at the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre (Auckland) and the 19th May at the James Hay Theatre (Christchurch). Parker's 'Lots Of  Love’ tour comes about after he completely sold out his 2022 tour ‘The Best of Chris Parker’.

First came love, then came marriage - now, as a 32-year-old, childless inner-city living homosexual, Chris is

naturally wondering what’s next. A purebred dachshund is on the cards, but there are fears he could become one of those people who treats his dog like a child and force friends to come over to celebrate ‘doggos' 1st birthday.

Alongside these additional dates, Chris will take Lots of Love across New Zealand to Tauranga, Wellington, Dunedin, Hamilton, Palmerston North, and New Plymouth in May and June.

Tickets for the second Auckland and Christchurch show go on sale at 11am NZST on Thursday, April 6th.

My Live Nation members can secure tickets during an exclusive pre-sale beginning at 10am on Wednesday April 5th NZST, concluding at 10am on Thursday April 6th NZST.

The self-proclaimed People's Princess of Aotearoa, Chris Parker is most commonly known for his funny Instagram and TikTok videos which built him a huge social media audience. Also, his legendary win on the hit New Zealand TV show Celebrity Treasure Island and, most strangely, a felted hat he made during the 2020 nationwide lockdown that was then acquired is on display at The National Museum of New Zealand.

Chris was listed as The NZ Herald's Top 5 Entertainment Heroes of 2020 and, in 2021, was nominated for ‘Television Personality of the Year’ in his native NZ. In 2022, he released the comedy/documentary special for TVNZ, Chris Parker: Back To School, about all boy schools in Christchurch, and also starred in NZ feature film Nude Tuesday. His debut novel Here for a Good Time is now out through Allen & Unwin.

Most recently, Chris was the recipient of the inaugural Topp Prize awarded by the New Zealand Comedy Trust for Aotearoa’s most generous and gifted comedian. In 2023, Chris’ new comedy series, Double Parked created & written with Alice Snedden will premiere and he will feature in ‘Rhys Nicholson’s Big Queer Comedy Concert’ for Amazon Prime.
