Ben Elton announces Perth 'Work In Progress' shows live at The Maj this March!
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, FEB 1: BEN ELTON has today announced he will perform 2 very special ‘work in progress’ shows live at His Majesty’s Theatre, Perth on March 5th & 6th 2024!

In September this year Ben kicks off his new world tour in the UK. Prior to that he needs to write a whole new show. Hence this series of intimate gigs downstairs at His Maj.
Ben will be riffing on all new ideas. Running fresh routines up the flag pole and hoping for salutes.
It won’t be just the audience who will be hearing this stuff for the first time, so will Ben! So join him for a unique evening at the coalface of comedy in search of comic gold.
Ben will be donating any profits from these gigs to Wallcliffe Bush Fire Brigade. Full disclosure, this is not entirely altruistic, he’s got a house down south.
Ben Elton’s multi-award-winning career spans over four decades and includes seminal and groundbreaking television shows (The Young Ones, Blackadder, Upstart Crow), West End plays (Popcorn, Upstart Crow), West End musicals (We Will Rock You, The Beautiful Game, Close up: The Twiggy Musical), best-selling novels (Stark, Dead Famous, Two Brothers) and feature films (Maybe Baby, Three Summers, All is True). In October last year, Ben returned to Channel 4 for a one-off revival of Friday Night Live to rave reviews. The reincarnation of the original smash-hit Saturday Night Live was critically acclaimed and Ben won the BAFTA for Comedy Entertainment Programme 2023.
